Objectives

This Singapore PROMPT Train the Trainers (T3) day is designed for the attendance of multi-professional teams of 4 staff from within a maternity unit/institution. After attending the Singapore PROMPT T3 day, the team of trainers will be able to take the PROMPT Course training materials back to their maternity unit/institution to run ‘in house’ local PROMPT Courses.

‘In house’ local PROMPT Courses are run by multi-professional trainers from within the unit and enable maternity staff in each unit to learn how to manage obstetric emergencies in multi-professional teams on their own labour ward. By training in teams in their own department, staff will gain knowledge of the location of their equipment, as well as becoming familiar with the local systems and procedures used when managing emergencies. The unit should aim to train all of their maternity staff on an annual basis.

Target Audience

The PROMPT T3 day is for the attendance of a multi-professional team of 4 staff from a maternity unit/institution and should include a mix of midwives/obstetric nurses, obstetricians and an anaesthetist. The team will take the PROMPT Course training materials, which include the PROMPT ‘Course in a Box’ and additional downloadable resources, back to their own unit, to facilitate the introduction of local PROMPT Courses.
