Mr KONG Ming Chai

Mr Kong Ming Chai is a senior principal clinical pharmacist and the Clinical Educator Lead (Pharmacy) at the Singapore General Hospital, with a Master in Clinical Pharmacy from National University of Singapore. His specialty is in Anticoagulation Management in collaboration with Postgraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI), doctors and pharmacists. They collaborate to organise the Anticoagulation Management Workshop annually to help to train pharmacists / nurses from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, who intend to set up new anticoagulation services or run anticoagulation clinic. Mr Kong also runs other clinics like Rheumatology Monitoring Clinic and Asthma Allergy Clinic.

He underwent the Harvard Macy Institute Program for Educators in the Health Profession between January and May 2013, at the Harvard Medical School, Boston. As Clinical Educator Lead in the pharmacy department, he currently manages the Pharmacy training programme for undergraduates e.g. the pre-employment clinical training (PECT) for NUS year 3 students, pharmacy experiential programme in service-oriented undergraduate learning (SOUL) for the year 1 and 2 pharmacy students, Curtin University Pharmacy students, and postgraduate training programme for the pre-registration pharmacists. He is also a Clinical Tutor for NUS PharmD students, overseas PharmD students, Non-Clinical Physician faculty for the SingHealth Haematology Residency Program and Associate in Education (RHI) with Duke-NUS Medical School.
