Your Learning Experience

The SingHealth Gastroenterology Senior Residency Programme is a three-year programme.

In Year 1, you will be exposed to inpatient and ambulatory Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Basic Endoscopy training and supervised Gastrointestinal (GI)/Liver consult services. In Year 2, you can look forward to subspecialty rotations in Advanced Hepatology/Liver Transplantation and Advanced Endoscopy training in addition to Inpatient/Ambulatory and Consult rotations. You will also be rotated into NUHS and NHG hospitals for three months as part of our national cross-cluster programme. Finally, in Year 3, you will gain exposure to the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)/Nutrition subspecialty and have the opportunity to choose a three-month elective clinical or research rotation under the supervision of elective supervisors.

Residents who have a passion for research can also opt for the Clinician Scientist Track on our programme.
