CT Surgery Residents are required to complete two years of Surgery-In-General, which includes:

  • 12 months in General Surgery rotation
  • Six months in the assigned surgical specialty
  • Three months each in Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia/Critical Care

The advanced CT Surgery training from R3 - R6 is spent in cardiothoracic rotations at National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).

All CT Surgery Residents will complete:

  • Three-and-a-half years of clinical rotations to Adult Cardiovascular Surgery, Congenital Cardiac Surgery and General Thoracic Surgery
  • Six months of electives (options include Cardiology, Vascular Surgery and Respiratory Medicine in addition to the above)
