Your Learning Experience

CT Surgery Residents are required to complete two years of Surgery-In-General, which includes:

12 months in General Surgery rotation
Six months in the assigned surgical specialty
Three months each in Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia/Critical Care

The advanced CT Surgery training from R3 - R6 is spent in cardiothoracic rotations at National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).

All CT Surgery Residents will complete:

Three-and-a-half years of clinical rotations to Adult Cardiovascular Surgery, Congenital Cardiac Surgery and General Thoracic Surgery
Six months of electives (options include Cardiology, Vascular Surgery and Respiratory Medicine in addition to the above)
