The primary educational goal of our well-rounded and comprehensive Anaesthesiology Residency Programme is to provide you the opportunity to develop to the maximum of your ability. Residents are exposed to a diverse range of clinical experience through structured subspecialty rotations that allow flexibility to meet individual goals and objectives.

Throughout your training, you will learn from and alongside seniors and mentors as you function as an invaluable member of the healthcare team.     The SingHealth Anaesthesiology Residency Programme covers a wide range of clinical anaesthesia exposure from Singapore General Hospital (SGH), KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), Changi General Hospital (CGH), National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS), Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). This close proximity and wide patient case-mix provides unique multidisciplinary opportunities for rigorous and rewarding medical training, patient care and research.

    The wide span of educational activities – including morbidity and mortality meetings, incident reporting, intensive care grand ward rounds, subspecialty interactive teaching programmes, critical appraisal of research publications and multidisciplinary learning forums – will furnish your expertise with the best of Academic Medicine. You will find yourself well-prepared for the Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) and FANZCA examinations through the conduct of intensive didactic curriculum, mock viva voce and written examinations.
