Ms. Caroline Chua is a Principal Physiotherapist at KKH, Physiotherapy dept. She has her masters in physiotherapy specializing in women’s health and had received training from the European society for sexual medicine.  She sees women of all ages for incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, including pelvic and sexual pain problem. Caroline also regularly conducts exercise classes for osteoporosis management. She is also an educator, giving talks and lectures pertaining to women’s health physiotherapy to students, healthcare professionals as well as the public. Her main interest is in pelvic floor dysfunction and rehabilitation.

Physical Activity after Menopause

Menopause is part of  woman's aging process, transiting her from reproductive to non-reproductive stage of life. Hormonal changes in menopause may lead to many physical problems including obesity, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disorder, incontinence and mood disorder. These problems can affect the quality of life of postmenopausal woman. Exercise have shown to manage or improve such conditions. This talk aims to share the evidence of various types of exercises in coping different conditions experienced  in postmenopausal women.
