A/Prof Angie Chew
Founder and CEO, Brahm Centre
A/Prof Angie Chew is the Founder and CEO of Brahm Centre, a leading mental health charity with a team of over 50 staff, dedicated to fostering happier and healthier living. In recognition of her impactful work in mental health advocacy, she was honored as The Straits Times Singaporean of the Year 2019.
As the first certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher in Singapore, conferred by the Mindfulness Center at Brown University School of Public Health, A/Prof Chew is a pioneer in bringing mindfulness practices to the region. She is also a trained Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher through the Oxford University Mindfulness Centre.
At the National University of Singapore, she teaches "The Undefeated Mind" course, furthering her commitment to educating the next generation on resilience and mental well-being. A/Prof Chew has led mindfulness courses, workshops, and retreats for more than 15,000 people across various age groups, including many corporate clients, making her a key figure in promoting mental wellness through mindfulness.
