SimKang

Dr Sim Kang is currently a Senior Consultant and Assistant Chairman Medical Board (Education) at the Institute of Mental Health. He holds faculty appointments as an Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. 

Apart from his educational and clinical duties, he has a keen interest in psychiatric and clinical research focussing on psychopharmacology, clinical subtyping, and the biological basis of major psychiatric illnesses. 

He has over 300 peer-reviewed publications, contributed several book chapters as well as served as a reviewer for many international peer-reviewed journals. He was a former chair of NHG DSRB Domain A (2008-2021) and is currently the Chair of Institutional Research Review Committee at the Institute of Mental Health.
