Asst Prof Sharon Ong is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Surgical Intensive Care, Division of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Sciences at the Singapore General Hospital. She is an anaesthetist with a sub-specialty interest in the care of critically ill surgical patients. She is also a member of her Division’s Quality and Audit Committee. Her past appointments include that of Chair of the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit. She is also currently the Associate Programme Director of the SingHealth Anaesthesia Residency Programme. She is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Her research interests include, areas of postoperative care, intensive care medicine and residency education.
