Dr Crystal Lim, Master Medical Social Worker, is the Clinical Lead for Medical Social Services, SGH, and Transplant Ethics Lead for SingHealth Transplant. She attained her Ph.D. Social Work and Master of Arts in Bioethics from University of Pittsburgh, and her Master of Social Work from University of Washington. With over 27 years of social work experience, her past and current clinical specializations include transplant social work, bioethics, family-focused organ donor care, nephrology social work, difficult conversations, family violence intervention and drug misuse assessment and intervention. Her outstanding clinical services have been recognised with SGH Allied Health Division Trail Blazer Award (2012)—Clinical; SingHealth GCEO Service Excellence Award, Allied Health Division (2008); Outstanding Social Worker Award (2007) and Healthcare Humanity Award (2006). Dr Lim has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programmes, with topics ranging from bioethics, health social work, family violence, breaking bad news, grief and loss, and bereavement.
