Dr Camilla WONG Ming Lee

Dr Camilla Wong has more 20 years of experience in hospital practice and is currently Director for the Allied Health Division at Sengkang Health. She is also Deputy Director at the SingHealth Group Allied Health office, overseeing talent management and the development of career pathways and competency frameworks for the cluster’s Allied Health professionals.

Recognised as a leader for the healthcare cluster, she is a member of a number of SingHealth level committees including the Allied Health Council, Institute of Patient Safety and Quality, and the Patient Experience Council. Together with a team of senior leaders, Dr Wong has been tasked to drive the quality and safety agenda for the cluster.

At Sengkang Health, Dr Wong has been integral in the planning of the infrastructure, processes and services not only for Allied Health services but the hospital as a whole. She is a member of a number of SKH committees including the Medical Board and IT Steering Committee. As part of the SKH Senior Management team, she serves as a catalyst for collaborative partnerships between the various departments and stakeholders both inside and outside of SKH.

Dr Wong has been appointed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to sit on the Pharmacist Specialist Accreditation Board and she has provided strategic visioning in setting up the pharmacy specialist register, accreditation process and residencies. She was instrumental in developing the nation’s pharmacy career pathway and has harmonised the advanced practice competency framework for pharmacists at the national level. She has also been appointed by the Health Science Authority to sit on the Product Vigilance Advisory Committee, Singapore Prisons Medical Advisory Committee and is an advisor to the Allied Health Panels for Skills Framework development at MOH.

Dr Wong has a passion for and is still very much involved in the education and training of pharmacists. She serves as a role model and mentor to many pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

She is a past president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore and has received a number of awards including the PSS’s Professor Lucy Wan, Outstanding Pharmacist of the Year Award, Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations Ishidate Award for Hospital Pharmacy, Group CEO SingHealth Excellence Award for Allied Health and the Singapore National Day Awards, Commendation Medal.
