The SingHealth Residency Leadership Programme (SRLP) was uniquely designed with the goal to build capacity and grow the pool of SingHealth Chief Residents with leadership potential.
Selected Residents for the programme will go through a eight-month long training that will equip them with relevant and effective leadership skillsets, such as systems thinking, team-building and communications. The training offers Residents valuable guidance from mentors that help in the completion of their portfolios and CVs and the sharpening of their leadership skills for continuing professional growth. A pool of Chief Residents alumni with strong leadership qualities are also actively involved in the mentoring and facilitation of learning.
Besides medical Residents, the programme also includes participation by other healthcare professionals groups, such as dentists, nurses and pharmacists, to strengthen interprofessional learning and collaboration.
Top Chief Residents will have the opportunity to have an overseas attachment at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
