About the Programme

From face to body; upper extremity to lower extremity, the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery helps patients restore form and function that have been compromised due to trauma, accident, illness or aging. The satisfaction and joy we get from each patient’s recovery is tangible and immense.

The Singapore Integrated Programme (SGIP) for Plastic Surgery is a national six-year programme, which is formed by SingHealth, National Healthcare Group (NHG) and National University Health System (NUHS) Plastic Surgery Residency. Our comprehensive programme has been carefully crafted and coordinated by the team, and you can expect a structured curriculum with regular formative assessments and timely feedback. When you join us as a Resident, you become part of a passionate team of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, each striving to provide the best outcome for our patients.

You are invited to join the programme after completing Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1). You can also apply for the programme PGY1 Year. If you are highly motivated, responsible, a good team player and possess a positive attitude towards learning, we look forward to welcoming you to the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery team.

As of July 2020 intake, new Residents will be enrolled under the SGIP for Plastic Surgery, with SingHealth as the administrative centre.
