About the Programme

Nuclear Medicine is a unique specialty which uses radiotracers and radiopharmaceuticals to evaluate molecular, metabolic, physiologic and pathologic processes of the body. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, including diagnosis, imaging, therapy and research.

Nuclear Medicine physicians interpret and report imaging studies like radiologists, as well as handle inpatient and outpatient consultations like physicians.

If you have a keen interest in imaging and treatment, and enjoy problem-solving, we welcome you to be part of this exciting specialty.

Message from the Programme Director

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Nuclear Medicine Senior Residency Programme.

Nuclear Medicine is a relatively new and rapidly changing specialty which has become an important part of patient management. Through a wide range of functional imaging modalities and targeted therapy at molecular/cellular levels using radiation, Nuclear Medicine can allow earlier detection of diseases, shorter delay in treatment and an improvement in prognosis.

The Nuclear Medicine Senior Residency Programme gives you exposure to a wide range of clinical applications. You will interact with clinical staff and Faculty with varied interests and areas of expertise and gain access to vast research resources.

I invite you to find out more about our programme. Talk to our Faculty members and Residents, who would be glad to answer your questions about our programme. I wish you all the best in your application.
