What Keeps Her Going

"Life looks very different now. I used to be a very career-driven surgical registrar, but today I find myself focused on nurturing my young family with my two little girls. I do worry a lot being the stress head that I am. But a good cup of coffee, especially a flat white, helps me get through the day."

What People Don’t See

"Many people think our job is straightforward, but there is often a lot happening behind the scenes. When you call Radiology, we may be managing urgent cases or interpreting scans from multiple departments. A scan does not always provide a clear answer either. It should never replace clinical assessment and judgement."

The Toughest Challenge

"Time management is one of the biggest challenges. Balancing a busy workload alongside examinations can feel overwhelming at times, like there is always too much to do and too little time."

Why She Stays Passionate

"It is incredibly satisfying to identify a diagnosis that can change a patient's management and outcome. I also look up to many of my seniors, especially neuroradiologists, for their calmness and steady approach in high-pressure situations. Qualities I hope to develop in my own journey."
