Wound Management Course Level I
Course Reference Number: CRS-N-0022328
This curriculum is designed for nurses to enhance their knowledge and skills in management of different types of wounds like pressure ulcer, dermatological, vascular, burns, stoma and malignant wounds. Besides, assessing patient at risk of developing these wounds, it also hope that the nurses are able to recommend the appropriate treatment with regards to the patient’s condition, overall treatment goal, and resources availability and in line with the hospital policies in clinical practices.
At this course, participants will learn to:

Gain an overview of basic principles in wound management
Implement early intervention for prevention and management of individual at risk of developing wound throughout his/her stay in hospital
Discuss the nursing management of patients with different types of wound
Design and conduct patient teaching plan for different types of wound
Discuss the availability resources for different types of wound
