This presentation, by the Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) educators, aims to share on the immersive learning tools that were used to engage the nursing students by bringing hypothetical learning scenarios to life, making important but previously difficult to replicate realistic interactions for students. The students would gain the confidence in patient care and patient-nurse communication from these immersive experiences. 

There will be two speakers presenting on the following:

Ms Clara Tai Chia Chia - Virtual Simulation on Fall Risk Assessment and Prevention She will be sharing on how the virtual simulation tool trained the Year 1 nursing students on patients’ fall assessment and prevention by responding to the simulated clinical environment.

Ms Pan Donghong – Metaverse – Multiplayer Virtual Simulation on Drug Overdose She will share how this innovative tool has helped Year 3 nursing students apply the knowledge and skills they acquired in class through collaborative learning.
