Mr Franklin Tan is the Director at the SingHealth Office for Service Transformation(OST). He is responsible for leading the project teams on strategic initiatives that focuses on delivering and improving patient services across the SingHealth cluster. Working closely with the Group Director’s Office, Division of Innovation & Transformation, SingHealth, and domain leads from the different institutions and clinical specialties, the results of their efforts and hard work have seen improvements across different areas such as the outpatient journey, elective surgery journey, better access to care, enhanced pharmacy services, nursing productivity, and optimization of operating theatres. Several of these projects have won national awards or have been featured in international conferences.

Mr Tan co-chairs several cluster-level working committees, is one of the co-leads for the Adoption and Scaling enabler for SingHealth’s Academic Medicine Innovation Institute and also sits on SingHealth’s Patient Experience Committee. At the same time, he is also a member of SingHealth’s Office of Patient Experience Network. During the Covid-19 situation, he was also part of the Innovation and Research Workgroup that was deployed to the Community Care Facilities at the Singapore Expo Halls under SingHealth to review the suitability of projects to be hosted there. He is also currently part of the hospital planning team for the Eastern Health Integrated Campus.
