Dr Ng graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science with honours (First Class). She obtained her PhD in 2013 from the University of Dundee, UK (A*STAR-Dundee Scholarship) under Dr Andrew South and Prof Birgit Lane where she studied the role of microenvironment in inherited skin cancers such as epidermolysis bullosa and multiple self-healing epitheliomas. She worked in the Institute of Medical Biology as a research fellow on blistering diseases, before taking on the role of programme manager and subsequently co-Lead for the Wound Care Innovation for the Tropics IAF-PP which is the world’s first programme that focuses on innovation and research in chronic wounds in the tropics and Asian populations. She is currently on part secondment to National Health Innovation Center.
