Ms Wan Ru is the Senior Nurse Manager and Advanced Practice Nurse in HCA Hospice Limited. She leads a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, medical social workers in providing care for home patients with advanced diseases. Her job scope entails clinical work, teaching and research. Wan Ru is dedicated to upholding the standards of the hospice home care nurses in her organisation. Beyond HCA, she has participated in various work groups in the Singapore Hospice Council and Ministry of Health, collaborating with them in areas such as education, policies and the national palliative competency framework. Wan Ru is one of the recipients of the Healthcare humanity award, ILTC Service quality gold award and Nurses’ Merit Award.
