She is much involved in the development of nurses, both within the organisation and in the school. Shi Min is an adjunct lecturer with NUS-ALCNS, where she participates in both curriculum review and programme planning for the Master of Nursing programme for the paediatric track. She is also the programme coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Care for Women and Children accredited by the SingHealth Clinical College of Nursing, grooming nurses in the community to expand their scope to care for women and children. 

In addition to her clinical work in the direct care of children and their families, development of nurses’ capabilities, she is also very much invested in expanding paediatric and family health in the community. She has been engaged in the development of programmes and providing trainings and support for nurses in the community. Examples of such programmes would be the Integrated Maternal and Child Wellness Hub in collaboration with Punggol polyclinic, project HOME in collaboration with SKH and Family Nexus at Our Tampines Hub. In addition, she also serves as the secretariat of the Child and Maternal Health Nursing workgroup at MOH, working together with the different clusters and institutions to enhance maternal and child health in the community.
