KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital

A/ Pro Chan  is the Chair, Medical Board at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and Associate Dean at the Duke-NUS School of Medicine.  As a pediatric intensive care physician by training, A/ Prof Chan established the Neonatal-Pediatric Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Program and the Home Care Program at KKH, and was a past Board Member of the World Federation of Paediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies (WFPICCS).

Prior to her role as Associate Dean at Duke-NUS, A/ Prof Chan was the Chair of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Pediatric Academic Clinical Program and Chair of the Division of Medicine at KKH.  During her term, she built and grew the capabilities on the academic pillars of research, education, clinical excellence and innovation in Pediatrics.  She has also been deeply involved in the shaping of the Child Health landscape in Singapore.  She was a member of the Transformation of Pediatric Services Taskforce commissioned by MOH and the National Task Force on Child and Maternal Health and Wellbeing.  She also led the pilot on Integrated Maternal and Child Wellness Hub at Punggol Polyclinic which is to be scaled to more polyclinics in Singapore.  She is currently leading 2 multi-sectoral integration projects to improve the health of children early in life.
