Ms Julia Eng is Deputy Director and Advanced Practice Nurse at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She graduated from University of Melbourne in 2004 with Master in Nursing specialising in Oncology. As a Deputy Director, she previously helmed the Nursing Clinical Service and had developed 44 Advanced Practice Nurses in women’s and children’s services. She currently helmed the Department of Advancing Nursing and Education, grooming future educators and instructors for our future nurses. Together with her team, she has also developed the 1st Graduate Certificate in Advanced Care for women and child health to prepare our nurses in caring for women and children in the community.
As one of the pioneer Advanced Practice Nurse herself, she continues to perform clinical duties in the wards and APN-Led clinic. She provides support and training to junior APNs and junior Resident rotated to gynae-oncology. She currently chairs the cluster CAC and Singhealth APN Council. At National platform, she is actively involved in the APN development at MOH and is currently the deputy chair for APN Internship Committee at MOH CNO Office.
Ms Julia’s contribution has also won her awards from service quality, education, to GCEO outstanding award, National Day award and in year 2022, she was awarded the highest accolade President Nurse Award.
