Assoc Prof Frederick Koh is a practicing consultant colorectal surgeon in Sengkang General Hospital and Surgeon-Scientist with Duke-NUS Medical School. With a keen interest to seek continual improvement in patient care, Prof Koh’s PhD thesis is on sarcopenia in surgical patients, an increasingly recognised public health problem. He heads the prehabilitation service in SKH and is a key opinion leader for surgical nutrition with both Abbott International and Hyphens Pharma. His team’s contributions to muscle health have also been recognised with a Centre of Excellence status awarded to Sengkang General Hospital by Abbott International just last month.
