Nursing has existed for centuries and has evolved considerably since its inception. The nursing workforce, which is the largest occupational group within the health sector is currently facing significant challenges. This session will examine the state of the global nursing workforce, outline current and future challenges to workforce capacity and capability and articulate the strategic and operational actions required to ensure the sustainability of the nursing workforce.
