Dr Anthony Tan is currently a Senior Research Fellow in the Emerging Infectious Diseases Programme at the Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore. He earned his Bachelor of Science at the National University of Singapore in 2007, and his PhD from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2012, working with Prof Antonio Bertoletti.
His research interest centres on understanding the pathogenesis and immune response against Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection and the development of T cell-based immunotherapy approaches against chronic HBV infection and HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). He is actively involved in clinical trials in Singapore and China to test the safety and efficacy of adoptively transferring T cells engineered against HCC with HBV integration in collaboration with Lion TCR Pte Ltd.
