Dr Pek Jen Heng is a Consultant at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Sengkang General Hospital.
He graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He completed his emergency medicine training at SingHealth Emergency Medicine Residency Program, where he was the Chief Resident.
He is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Emergency Medicine Academic Program, Duke-NUS and an Associate Core Faculty with the SingHealth Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He is also a Deputy Commander for Disaster Site Medical Control, Ministry of Health.
Dr Pek has been involved in medical education and he is a strong proponent for simulation use. He is an instructor for numerous courses such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Paediatric Life Support, HAZMAT Medical Life Support Course and Emergency Airway Management Course. He won the Crystal Owl Educator Award in Sengkang General Hospital.
Dr Pek is also involved in research, having published more than 30 publications in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals. His research interests include Trauma, Disaster Medicine and Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
