Dr KEONG Si Ying Julienne

Dr Julienne Keong is a third-year medical student at Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Dartmouth College, USA. She was President of the Paediatric Brain and Solid Tumour Awareness 2019 and served on the Executive Committee of Camp Simba 2018. 


Dr Keong is also a Ngee Ann Kongsi Distinguished Scholar. She has a keen interest in surgery and global health. She was a part of the inaugural Global Health Initiative Scholars programme at Dartmouth College in 2016 and is currently serving in the Duke-NUS Medical School Surgery Student Interest Group organising committee.


Dr Keong conducted her third-year research project in Kandy, Sri Lanka, under the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and Surgery ACP. The project assess the quality of life of patients with haemorrhoids before and after invasive treatment and she is currently working on the manuscript.
