MSK US Intervention, Sonoanatomy and Joint Dissection Course

This highly interactive 2-day training programme provides candidates with an opportunity to perform ultrasound guided injections and biopsies on cadaveric specimens within a small group setting; with hands-on instruction from multidisciplinary experts in interventional techniques and musculoskeletal anatomy.

Course Objective

  • To perform ultrasound (US)-guided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions on fresh frozen, non-embalmed cadavers. The focus will be on joint injection, synovial biopsy and barbotage
  • To improve the understanding of anatomical structures through sonoanatomy and anatomical dissection


Target Audience

Rheumatologists with intermediate to advanced experience in MSK US and routinely using US-guided interventions in clinical practice.

Please provide the following information as a pre-requisite for your application (i) Brief outline of your ultrasound experience, including number of years performing US (ii) Certification and/or relevant courses attended, e.g. EULAR  US courses or equivalent.
