Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Recertification

ACLS refers to a set of clinical interventions for the urgent treatment of life threatening medical emergencies such a cardiac arrest. The intensive course trains the medical professionals with the most up to date ACLS guidelines and skills to deploy the clinical interventions.

Course Outline

The following topics are covered in the ACLS Course:

• Advanced airway management
  
• Recognition of cardiac arrest rhythms & arrhythmias
  
• Management of medical emergencies
  – Respiratory Arrest, Witnessed VF, Persistent VT, PEA, Asystole, Bradycardia, Acute Coronary Syndromes
  
• Pharmacology of commonly utilized cardiovascular drugs & their administration
  

Target Audience

Medical professionals with ACLS Certificate from a Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) accredited training centre that has not expire for more than 1 year
