Rapid diagnostic tests and antigen based tests for diseases like COVID-19 and other infections offer fast and low cost alternatives to laboratory methods, but their implementation faces significant infection prevention and control challenges. I will discuss the key challenges with rapid tests and how to mitigate these challenges in this talk.
