Undergraduate Education & Pre-registration Training

The College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Undergraduate Education and Pre-registration Training unit is committed to developing the next generation of pharmacy professionals. We work closely with our SingHealth partners to develop and execute quality, comprehensive undergraduate and pre-registration education programmes. With our collective efforts, we jointly create a future-ready pharmacy workforce equipped with core clinical skills, knowledge, and competencies essential for modern healthcare practice.

Clinical attachments for pre-university and undergraduate pharmacy students

We support clinical attachments for pre-university and undergraduate pharmacy students to gain early exposure to the pharmacy profession and healthcare practice. Our SingHealth attachment programmes gives valuable insights to students to the wide range of diverse pharmacy work that support patient care and health outcomes, giving insights to the pharmacy profession in real-world settings, inspiring interest and supporting our budding healthcare professionals in their learning journey. We welcome interest from schools or individuals ready to join us in collective education efforts to support and optimise patient care across the various facets of pharmacy and the healthcare sector.

Pre-registration Training in SingHealth

Through CCP efforts, Chief Preceptors from the SingHealth Family synergize efforts and support each other’s pre-registration training programmes. Our workplace-based pre-registration training programmes bridge academic learning with professional practice. The CCP unit consolidates new updates from Singapore Pharmacy Council, as well as gathers feedback on educational needs, to strategically and collectively strengthen resources, foster cross-sharing of best practices, uniting efforts to promote continuous improvement and innovation in pharmacy education to nurture a future-ready workforce.

A key initiative is the annual SingHealth Family Site Exchange Day for SingHealth pre-registration pharmacists (to be launched in 2027). This  event aims to broaden participants' understanding of pharmaceutical care delivery across the continuum of healthcare settings as part of cluster’s population health efforts. Through this programme, our young pharmacists will foster a deeper appreciation of how each SingHealth institution plays a unique role, foster inter-institutional collaboration, and gain valuable insights from experienced specialised practitioners as the pre-registration pharmacists ready to kickstart their careers in Pharmacy.
