
This course provides opportunity for participants to embrace a person-centred and problem-based approach to clinical patient care and patient education. It aims to equip them with the essential knowledge and skills required for intricate patient care planning, addressing the needs of the population in the cardiac nursing setting. Ultimately, the program seeks to empower nurses to develop a broad-based knowledge surrounding the scope of cardiac nursing practice, enhance their professional competence and cultivate lifelong learning abilities.

Course Outline:
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- State the roles and responsibilities of registered nurse in cardiac care and patient education
- Discuss the challenges in cardiac care (CVM, CTS, CV & CR)
- Apply problem-solving models to resolve clinical issues
- Describe the obstacles of patient education
- Synthesize the principles of pathophysiology, pharmacotherapy, health assessment data and medical management, to develop comprehensive nursing care plans for cardiac patients
- Apply the principles of teaching to develop learning plan for individualized patient family education
- Recognize inter-professional and inter-personal developments through reflections on acquired knowledge, skills and attitude

Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of clinical experience.
