
This course is designed for registered nurses to develop skills and knowledge in conducting an objective health assessment.
Course Outline:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Obtain health history of client using a pre-designated format
- Identify the anatomy underlying areas of assessment in physical examination
- Identify physiological mechanism underlying the findings in the physical examination
- Demonstrate professional attitudes in health assessment
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of physical examination using techniques of Inspection, Palpation, Percussion, Auscultation
- Report findings using SBAR model
Target Audience:
Registered Nurses (minimum of 1 year working experience) without Advanced Diploma or Degree of Nursing (with health assessment module)
