Message from Chair
Prof Goh Siang Hiong
Chair, College of Clinical Medicine;
Academic Chair, Emergency ACP, Changi General Hospital
Vice Chair, SingHealth Academy Executive Council
Medical Advisor, Center for Healthcare Assistive Robotics and Technology (CHART), Changi General Hospital
Senior Consultant, Emergency Medicine, Changi General Hospital
We wish to thank Prof Chay Oh Moh who led the inception and formation of the College of Clinical Medicine. Under her capable leadership, CCM became an important bridge to foster collaboration and education initiatives between the fifteen Academic Clinical Programmes. It also strived to put interprofessional collaborative practice on a firm footing the five SingHealth Academy Colleges too.
Moving forward, the health care practitioners of SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre faces a changing landscape. The new capitation funding model makes it more imperative that patients need better care coordination between multiple specialties as well as professions.
CCM plays an important role in supporting medical training from university through residency to continuing medical education for senior specialists.
We want to make available the experience of medical education mentors to guide the development of younger clinical educators in our AMC in our new mentoring scheme.
We also continue to seek collaboration with SIMS in utilising the latest in education technology. All these aims are in alignment with the Master Education Plan for the next five years, so that the ultimate aims of a Healthy SG can be met.
We welcome any ideas from our members to improve the training and development of medical educators, do write them to us at
