She has 14 years of experience in human immunology, with the focus on virus-specific T cells. She began working on human T cells as a PhD student at the Division of Infection and Immunity at the University College London, UK.

In 2012, she moved to Singapore and worked with Dr Stefan Gasser at the National University of Singapore. In 2014, she joined Prof Antonio Bertoletti’s laboratory at Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore and specialised in the field of viral hepatitis, with a specific interest in the role of T cells in immunopathogenesis of chronic HBV infection.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, her research is focused on the characterisation of SARS-CoV-2-specific T cell immune responses in COVID-19 and SARS convalescent and in healthy individuals pre and post vaccination.
