Dr Christopher Lien is Senior Consultant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine, CGH. A graduate from the National University of Singapore in 1988, he completed Basic Specialty Training in Internal Medicine in Singapore. He continued advance specialty training in Dundee, Angus and Perthshire in Scotland, UK and attained the UK Certificate of Completion of Speciality Training (CCST) in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine in 2001.

He was Head of the Department of Geriatric Medicine from 2002 to 2005, and has been Director of Community Geriatrics since 2005. His interest is in the development of transitional, intermediate and long-term care services for the elderly, in addition to Parkinson’s Disease in older people. He pursued a Masters in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government from 2012 to 2013. He is the immediate past chair of the Chapter of Geriatricians, Singapore and is also a Governor of the Lien Foundation.
