Cancer immunotherapy is an attractive option for cancer treatment. However, there are still many areas of improvement, and the combination of immunotherapy with chemotherapy or targeted therapy is thought to be one of the strategies to increase the efficacy of the treatments. Understanding the basic knowledge and the latest development of cancer immunology will help us advance our cancer research for patient benefit.
