Dr Ng Choon Ta

Dr Ng Choon Ta is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Director of the Digital Heart initiative at the National Heart Centre Singapore. He has subspecialty interests in cardio-oncology, advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and echocardiography. He advocates for evidence-based medicine and serves as the digital medicine lead, focussing on leveraging technology. He strongly believes in collaboration to transform cardiovascular care of patients. 

Awarded a talent development scholarship by the Ministry of Health Singapore, Dr Ng trained in cardio-oncology and cardiomyopathy at Mayo Clinic, becoming one of the first board-certified cardio-oncologists by the International Cardio Oncology Society (ICOS). He is passionate about improving the care of cardio-oncology patients and advancing the field in Asia.

As an Assistant Professor at Duke NUS Medical School and a clinical tutor at various institutions, Dr Ng is dedicated to educating future healthcare professionals. He has received the Singapore Health Quality Service Award and the Singhealth Outstanding Faculty Award.

Dr Ng is involved in global clinical trials in heart failure and has research interests in heart failure, cardio-oncology, echocardiography, and cardiomyopathy. He contributes to local and international journals and guidelines to enhance patient care.
