Joseph Mascola is the Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer for Northwell Health. Northwell Health is New York State's largest health care provider and private employer. Mr. Mascola began his career as a Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery and currently leads all"people" strategies for Northwell Health as Chief People Officer and head of Human Resources. In his current role, Mr. Mascola launched FlexStaff, a comprehensive system-wide contingent staffing organization filling the temporary needs for Northwell Health, employing thousands of employees which expanded in 2019 bringing the same level of excellence to external companies by providing temporary and direct hire services throughout the Metropolitan area. He has spearheaded a new direct-to-employer business, Northwe/1 Direct, to monetize and customize network, health and wellness services for employers in the New York metropolitan market, to meet a wide variety of business and workforce needs. He also leads the team responsible for Northwell Health being awarded, for the first time, as a Fortune 100 Best Company to Work in 2020.
