Dr John Lim is the Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Occupational & Environmental Medicine at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He leads clinical services and workplace health initiatives, with a strong focus on safeguarding the health of workers in the healthcare sector and advancing national standards in occupational medicine. 

He holds an MB BCh (Hons) from the United Kingdom, a Master of Public Health (Occupational and Environmental Health) and the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr Lim is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in Occupational Medicine. 

Within SGH, Dr Lim co-chairs the Workplace Safety and Health Network and the Workplace Health Promotion Committee. Nationally, he serves on the Workplace Safety and Health Council (Healthcare) Committee. He is also the President of the Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Society and an Executive Committee member of the Occupational and Environmental Health Society. 

Dr Lim is actively involved in education as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, NUS, and as core faculty for the National Preventive Medicine Residency Programme.
