Writing Effective Papers & Reports

This programme aims to equip participants with the skills in writing reports and papers that are convincing, reader-oriented and well-organised.

Target Audience

All healthcare professionals from SingHealth and its institutions who would like to learn how to write or improve their skills in writing excellent papers and reports.

Trainer

 Chia Siang Pio 

About the Trainer:
Chia Siang Pio graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Second Upper Honours Degree in History. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. After a short teaching stint, she worked in the Ministry of Defence's Director (Policy) Office for seven years; writing policy papers, speeches and talking points for Minister and Permanent Secretary (Defence). She had also served as the key policy advisor to the Minister on overseas trips and was selected to represent MINDEF in several conferences abroad. She was also formerly a Deputy Director in the Incentives and Finance Division of the Singapore Workforce Development Agency. Leading a team of forty managers and executives, she headed the administration of the Skills Development Fund. Her work also included the formulation of funding and incentives policies as well as the evaluation of internal budget papers.
