Staff exposed to critical incidents may perceive and experience these events as threats to their safety or disruptors to the stability of their world. While most individuals have a baseline of resilience which allows them to cope with the impact, some may need additional help to recover from physical and emotional distress. An empathic ear, a compassionate colleague and a caring team will help in the recovery process.
Target Audience
Leaders who need to update staff and address the development of psychological and emotional distress after critical incidents and challenging events.
