ReXilience® Course: Crisis Support for Individual Resilience


Critical incidents are often sudden and unexpected. Most people will experience some degree of psychological and emotional impact when faced with an unusually challenging event. 

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to provide one-on-one crisis support to other individuals experiencing stress and crisis reactions that typically arise after a critical incident.


Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will:
  • Identify the signs and symptoms of stress and crisis reactions
  • Apply the CARE framework to provide crisis support to individuals experiencing crisis reactions
  • Guide a person in distress towards professional help when needed
  • Practise self-care upon recognising the impact of crisis support work


Target Audience

  • Individuals who are interested to provide initial psychological help to others experiencing distress after a critical incident.
  • Organisations that are planning to strengthen resilience among staff as well as develop crisis support capability.
