ReXilience® Crisis Support for Individual Resilience

Critical incidents are usually sudden and unexpected. Most people will experience some degree of psychological and emotional impact when faced with an unusually challenging event.


This ReXilience® course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to provide one-on-one crisis support to individuals experiencing stress and crisis reactions that typically arise after a crisis incident.


Opportunities are provided to practise these skills during the course.

 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will:
  • Identify the signs and symptoms of stress and crisis reactions
  • Apply the CARE framework to provide crisis support to individuals experiencing crisis reactions
  • Guide a person in distress towards professional help when needed
  • Practise self-care as one recognises the impact of crisis support work


Target Audience

  • SingHealth staff who want to be able to provide initial psychological help to other individuals experiencing stress/distress after a critical incident.
