Basic Understanding of Management Accounting (Module 3)

This is 1 of the 3 revised basic accounting and finance modules with enhanced topics tailored to persons without prior accounting knowledge or background. Each of the 3 modules are independent of each other. They can be attended in any sequence.

Learning Objectives

After attending this module, participants should be able to:

1. Understand the types of costs associated with any cost object;

2. Allocate overheads based on cost drivers;

3. Perform break-even analysis for decision making;

4. Forecast income and expenditure;

5. Prepare income, expenditure and cash budgets.

Target Audience

Any person without accounting or finance background but is keen to see and understand the importance of identifying and controlling the different types of costs for decision making.
