Global Nursing

Looking beyond Singapore, CCN also seeks to contribute effectively to nursing on a global scale with the overall aim of improving the health of populations around the world. CCN champions Global Nursing initiatives, which focus on three main areas: Capacity Building, Education and Research.

Capacity Building

Capacity building is a key component in Global Nursing, ensuring that nurses around the world are equipped to provide quality care for patients. CCN Global Nursing shares knowledge and best practices with developing countries in the region via lectures, case studies and interactive workshops.  Specialties covered include Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Orthopedics and Urology, along with key topics like patient safety and patient care quality, life support and working in the Intensive Care Unit.

Education

CCN Global Nursing takes an active role in developing nursing curriculum and offering higher education opportunities, including Master in Nursing degree programmes and other specialised nursing programmes. Other education activities include programme accreditation, training of healthcare professionals, and projects in healthcare management.

Research

Nursing, as an evidence-based area of practice, is an ever-developing and evolving field. Many nurses now work as researchers in the healthcare industry and higher learning institutes, pushing the frontiers of knowledge in nursing care. CCN Global Nursing works with hospitals and universities, actively collaborating in research initiatives, proposal writing, journal publications and quantitative / qualitative research on training outcomes.
