SingHealth Allied Health Eduation Mentoring Programme


The SingHealth Allied Health Education Mentoring Programme is a yearly recurring programme that provides Allied Health professionals access to experienced mentors in the education domain, who can contribute to their professional and personal development.

The programme serves as a platform for mentees who are passionate about education or seeking education as a career option to re-assess and build new knowledge, skills and attributes through 1-1 mentoring relationship with mentors who will be role models and provide guidance to them in the education domain. Mentors also enjoy a rewarding experience through guiding, inspiring and encouraging their mentees and helping them succeed in the mentoring journey.

It also offers them the opportunity to build their network and to gain valuable perspectives on career and professional growth.


Programme Objectives:

  • Nurture Allied Health Professionals to develop capacity and capability to achieve education excellence
  • Facilitate career guidance, personal growth and personal enrichment in health professionals education
  • Build and support a community of Allied Health educators

Programme Format:

  • 12-month programme
  • Mentors and Mentees are matched based on area of interest(s) in education, clinical practice and area of expertise and preference. Mentees will browse through a list of mentors and submit their mentoring request.
  • Mentors and Mentees will be introduced to each other during the launch of the mentoring programme.
  • Each Mentor-Mentee pair can arrange to meet at their own discretion for the duration of the programme.
  • Programme administration team will conduct regular check-ins on Mentor-Mentee pairs and provide necessary support.
  • Minimum commitment for Mentors and Mentees are 12 months. At the end of the programme, Mentors and Mentees are recommended to decide whether to continue the mentoring relationship.
