Professor Tony Zhang is an internationally recognised leader in Chinese medicine and integrative healthcare, with extensive experience translating research evidence into clinical practice. He currently serves as Associate Dean in the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences at RMIT University, Australia, and is Co-Deputy Director of the China–Australia International Research Centre for Chinese Medicine. Professor Zhang has co-led international multicentre clinical trials and conducted over 30 clinical research projects focused on evidence-based integrative care, health service delivery, and systematic evaluation of clinical evidence beyond conventional clinical trials. His work informs clinical decision-making, guideline development, practitioner education, and health policy. He has supervised more than 25 PhD students to completion and currently supervises 10 PhD candidates. Prof Zhang has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and books with over 34,000 citations and an H-index of 55. He has been a grant assessment panel member for major health and medical research funding schemes in Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia. Professor Zhang has been named among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in both career-long and single-year performance categories.
