Associate Professor Lita Chew received her pharmacy degree from NUS and moved on to obtain her post-graduate Master in Medical Science in clinical oncology at University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She completed her fellowship training in Pharmacy Practice at the University Illinois Chicago, USA. A/Prof Chew is a prominent leader in the health care sector with over 30 years of practice experience. A/Prof Chew’s work impacts pharmacy practice and pharmacy workforce in Singapore. She has guided the establishment of register for specialist pharmacists, career pathways, training and development framework for pharmacy workforce, and the development of National Pharmacy Strategy, a 10-year plan to transform pharmaceutical landscape in Singapore. She holds concurrent positions as Group Chief Pharmacist at Singhealth, Director (Allied Health & Pharmacy) at National Cancer Centre Singapore, Faculty of Pharmacy Department at National University of Singapore, and President of Singapore Pharmacy Council. In recognition for her contributions, A/Prof Chew received the Public Administration Medals in 2013 and 2019 National Day Awards and the Long Service Award in 2020 National Day Award.
